MJ's 9th Birthday!

Happy Birthday MJ! I can't believe it has been 9 years. Time sure flies. MJ and Grandma made cookies for her birthday when we were up there. They were yummy. She didn't want cake down her. She wanted ice cream sandwiches. She got a lot of fun art things, including a ream of her own paper so she can stop using mom's! She also got a new movie that we watched that evening. Daddy made a TON of popcorn. We went swimming that day and then Jade went out on her "date" with Grandpa H. She had a GREAT birthday!

Neff Family Reunion

The pixie walk was a big hit again this year. The girls were asking me "Is it time yet?"from the moment they got up Saturday morning. We love those little pixies!!!!

The boys enjoyed several games of Uno.

Neff Family Reunion

D and girls won the boat race this year, as well as the award for the best sail. They went through the garbage and found the BEST materials for making their boat. MJ was in the water and made "the wind" to sail the boat to first place. They're already planning next year's winning boat.

We had a great time at the family reunion this year. It was hot, so most of the time was spent in the muddy creek playing and trying to stay cool. D says next year he's going to take an old camp chair and umbrella and just sit there all day.

Happy 7th Birthday, NM!

NM had a great birthday! She wanted to go swimming first thing, so we went to the townhouse and had a great time. Then she went to another little girl's birthday party (same birthday!), and then Grandpa H. took her out to lunch and shopping. She had a great time. She didn't want cake, so we had to stick the candles in the ice cream. It was pretty melted by the time we sang "Happy Birthday". It's just toooooo hot. MJ did the decorating and made the crown. We are so thankful that NM is part of our family!

Happy 4th of July!

Can you believe I went the whole weekend and didn't take one picture. What was I thinking? Anyway, we had a great weekend. The weather was wonderful. You could actually go outside and still breath. The rodeo was....ok. It was a little slow this year. None of the cowboys rode the bulls, so that was a little bit of a bummer. The kids LOVED the fireworks. It was fun to have all the cousins together. They played, rode 4 wheelers, played video games, and played some more. The food was wonderful as usual...thanks mom! It was a great weekend!

Tetons and Jackson Hole

We drove back to Boise through the Tetons and Jackson Hole. It was a beautiful drive. The mountains were huge and everything was so green. We were headed down the Tetons (at a 10% grade slope) when we spotted the moose. D slammed on the brakes and we jumped out to get a picture. He was just right on the other side of the guard rail, but didn't seem at all concerned about us.

We stopped at Jackson Hole to take a picture under the antler arches. But didn't do much more than that there. We are now in Boise having a great time playing with cousins. I went golfing for the first time and was actually able to hit the ball once or twice instead of just swinging at air. It was fun. We have a few more fun things planned for next week and are having a great vacation.
